Welcome to The Nest
The Nest (the Preschool and Kindergarten Ministry of FBC Garland) is designed to be a great support system for young families as they lay firm foundations of faith in their children. In The Nest, preschoolers have the opportunity to feel, taste, listen, sing, and play as they discover who Jesus is, and what it means to be His friend.
What to Expect?
When you enter The Nest, you and your child will be welcomed by our greeters who will be happy to show you to The Nest information desk. All visitors need to complete a Guest Registration form for your children to attend Sunday School. After your child's information is entered into our security system, you will receive a security nametag for your child and yourself. You may complete a Guest Registration form HERE.
Parents of infants-crawlers are asked to complete a Baby Information form that will help us take the best care of your child. Information such as feeding times, sleeping times, allergies, and special needs are included on these sheets.
After completing the check-in process, say a quick "good-bye" to your child. It is common for preschoolers to cry when a parent leaves. This usually does not last long and is a normal show of preference for parents. A teacher will comfort your child and help them become interested in a toy or activity. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we promise to contact you! Crying becomes less common with regular attendance.
