Renewing Your Sunday School Vision

In any ministry endeavor, it is easy to fall prey to "vision leak."  Over time, we can lose sight of the vision for our ministry efforts and become ineffective in maintaining the Great Commmission focus of our ministry.  Our friends at LifeWay have provided an excellent article on creating and renewing our Sunday School vision.  Click here to view and read the article.

The Apprentice Plan

Finding, training, and leading apprentices is a model we find in the life of Jesus (with the disciples).  It is also something every ministry leader should be doing intentionally.  Click here to view the Apprentice Plan suggested for use by Sunday School leaders at every level of leadership.
Adult Sunday School Organization Guide

Ministry with adults in groups can be challenging if we don't have a plan for sharing ministry with others.  Burnout, frustration, and dropout can result if leaders attempt ministry alone. Although there are numerous ways to organize a class for effective ministry, this booklet offers three options Sunday School leaders can apply to be more effective in reaching people, teaching people, and ministering to people.

Care Groups as a Strategy

Every adult Sunday School class is encouraged to employ Care Groups as a strategy to keep meaningful connections maintained with all members and prospective members.

How to Have a F.U.L.L. Sunday School

In our August 2016 Sunday School leader training workshop, Keith Lowry (from the Discipleship/Bible Study Department of Texas Baptists) shared a simple, practical plan for having a F.U.L.L. Sunday School. Click here to view the plan.

Sunday School Defined

Sunday School is the foundational strategy in a local church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through Bible study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship.
