Hello FBCG family! I wanted to send you an update concerning the ministry of FBCG during these days of the COVID-19 pandemic. FBCG will extend the cancellation of all activities indefinitely until we can return back to our church facilities. This includes all church activities, events, classes, worship services, Bible studies, Sunday School classes, and the church office. We will monitor the situation closely throughout the month of April and re-assess often. Please be watching for future updates from me as to when we can return to campus. These updates will come to you via texts, e-mails, the church website, and social media.
In the meantime, ministry continues at FBCG in various forms. The avenue may look different, but we continue to shepherd, care, love, contact, and encourage our flock. Sunday School will continue through various platforms, such as Zoom, Facebook Live, recorded videos, conference telephone calls, etc. Worship services continue via live stream each Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. There are a variety of ways in which you can access the church live stream (click here for streaming options) Wednesday Bible Study continues each week at 6:15 p.m. via the live stream as well.
Please continue to be faithful with God’s tithes and your offerings during this time in which we are not meeting on campus. It may take extra effort for you to give financially in a way in which you are not accustomed, but bills and ministry continue at FBCG, and the work of this church depends 100% upon your gifts. You may send God’s tithe and your offering through the mail (801 W. Avenue D, Garland, 75040) or the church website (www.fbcg.org/giving). I know that God will continue to bless our faithfulness, even when times are difficult.
Know that God is sovereign and in control. The pandemic has not taken Him by surprise. In fact, it is something which He will use for His glory! (Romans 8:28) I anxiously anticipate how God is going to use this virus outbreak for good in the days ahead.
I love each of you and cannot wait until we all gather together again on campus!
